Ravalli Co. Drops Drug Charges Against Griz QB

Posted: Updated:
RAVALLI COUNTY -

The Ravalli County Attorney's office has dropped state marijuana charges against a former University of Montana quarterback, who's already serving two years prison on federal drug charges.

Jason Washington's attorney filed a motion July 9 seeking dismissal of the state charges.

Washington's attorney argued those charges were already part of his federal convictions for conspiracy to manufacture and distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute.

After his sentencing in May, Ravalli County charged Washington with distributing dangerous drugs and accountability for possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute.
