WALLACE, Idaho -

This weekend in Wallace the streets of downtown were sounding a little blue. That's because the 2nd Annual Historic Wallace Blues Festival was in full swing.

KHQ sent one of our photographers, Reed Schmitt, to Wallace to check it out and not only did he get to hear some amazing music, but he took some cool pictures too! Check them out!

    CHICAGO - The Chicago Police K9 Unit carried out a massive marijuana bust over the weekend. A narcotics unit was conducting a traffic stop when a police canine alerted officers that it sensed pot. Deputies pulled over a vehicle carrying approximately 1500 pounds of cannabis with a street value of more than $10 million.

    EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska  - U.S. defense officials say the Trump administration has chosen two military bases in Texas -- Fort Bliss and Goodfellow Air Force Base -- to house detained migrants. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record about a pending announcement.

    LONG BEACH, Calif. - A firefighter who was shot while responding to an explosion and fire at a Southern California retirement home has died. Long Beach Fire Chief Mike DuRee announced that the firefighter had died about four hours after the shooting before dawn Monday. DuRee says the 45-year-old firefighter was a 17-year veteran of the department and leaves behind a wife and two children.
