Congressman Daines Walks in July 4th Parade

KALISPELL - Congressman Steve Daines and his wife celebrated 4th of July in Kalispell Thursday morning by walking in the annual Impendence Day Parade.

Flathead residents crowded Main Street  to see the sights and sounds in the parade.  Congressman Daines and his wife, Cindy, paraded the streets to greet and mingle with residents. Daines said 4th of July is a great day to honor America's Independence.

"4th of July is one of my favorite times especially back in Montana, its just a reminder of the importance of celebrated our freedom, our independence, it important to have our kids involved, to celebrate and to remember freedom is not free it came at a great price and we need to celebrate the greatest nation on earth,"  Daines said.

Daines and Cindy also attended the Arlee Celebration Pow Wow.
