Exchange Students Need Host Families in Butte

BUTTE - WorldMontana: Center for Diplomacy and Leadership is facilitating the placement of three international exchange students through the Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX).

Through the FLEX program, these three students are coming from Russia and the Ukraine. This region is critical to U.S. diplomatic relations. Host families have the option to make a preference for the country from which their student may come.

The FLEX program encourages the exchange of ideas, values, and experiences among youth and leads to greater cultural awareness and appreciation, exposing you scholars to democracy, free market economy, civil society, and community service.

After completing the application materials and background check, the international high school student would share your home for the 2013-2014 School Year. Because we only have three students to place, we ask that those interested in the program contact WorldMontana at your earliest convenience at (406) 994-4887 or megan@worldmontana.org.

For more information about the FLEX program, you can visit our website at: http://www.worldmontana.org/2013/04/flex-program/

More than half of the 17 people killed when a tourist boat sank on a Branson lake were members of the same Indiana family, and they likely wouldn't have been on the ill-fated trip but for a ticket mix-up.
