Kalispell Tea Party Speaks Out on Same Sex Marriage

Posted: Updated:

KALISPELL - Flathead Conservatives are expressing their disappointment to Wednesday's Supreme Court ruling regarding same-sex marriage.

Local Tea Party Coalition Member Mark Agather said he is highly upset about the ruling and said he feels America is headed in the wrong direction.

"It was no need to further destroy the institution of marriage that we have today. It has been such a vital part of our community structure of our country, without an integral family I do not have a structure of a family and I think we suffer for it today," Agather said.

Montana's Senior Senator Max Baucus says today is a proud day in American history. Senator Jon Tester also agreed saying the supreme court made the right decision. Congressman Steve Daines was disappointed with the decision adding marriage is a union of one man and one woman.
