Accident Cleared on Highway 93 Near St. Ignatius

Posted: Updated:

ST. IGNATIUS - Montana Highway Patrol officials said traffic is flowing smoothly on U.S. Highway 93 North near St. Ignatius after an accident blocked the roadway for about 30 minutes Wednesday morning.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Terrance Rosenbaum said dispatch received a call around 8:45 a.m. of a crash that occurred on mile post 38.0, just north of St. Ignatius.

He said a 32-year-old St. Ignatius woman was driving her 2011 Volkswagen headed northbound on U.S. 93.

She slowed down to let a car make a right-hand turn into Hunts Timbers and as she slowed down, a 1992 GMC Suburban slammed into the back of her car.

No injuries were reported and both lanes are open.
