An Idaho State Trooper was involved in a shooting Wednesday on I-90, 2 miles west of the Idaho/Montana border.
The trooper stopped to check the welfare of a motorist parked in an eastbound turnout. The motorist was in possession of a handgun. A struggle ensued and the ISP trooper fired his weapon, striking the male suspect.
The suspect, a white male in his twenties, was transported to Shoshone Medical Center where he died from his injuries. At this time the suspect has not been identified.
