Foreign Exchange Students Look for Host Families

Posted: Updated:

Ten foreign exchange students from Europe, Asia, Australia and South America are coming to Missoula and they're in search of host families.

A nonprofit called International Cultural Exchange Services is looking for ten families to host the foreign exchange students next year.

Representatives with the organization said the ten students will attend local high schools.

"I think creating international friendships really will just make the world a better place, if you think about, you know stereotypes of other countries or what the stereotypes the U.S. has, we can break those by really just having the cultures intertwine in a home and school," Bridget Walsh, ICES Missoula Coordinator, said.

The exchange program is hoping to find the families by June 15, and they urge anyone interested in hosting a student to contact the organization.
