Crime Tracker: Police Investigate Links Between String Of Robberies

SPOKANE, Wash. - Law enforcement in the Spokane area is investigating 11 armed robberies over the last two weeks.  They're investigating any possible links between the series of crimes.

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office says it's looking into whether the three initial robberies in Spokane Valley are connected.  Robbers hit two convenience stores and a glass shop called Piece of Mind.  Monday night, May 27th, robbers hit the fourth business in the Valley, Puffins Glass.

Authorities did arrest the person they believe robbed the McDonalds in Cheney.  They say the suspect, 23-year-old Sean Martin, admitted to other robberies but not to any of the robberies related to this string of crimes.

Each of the robberies involves commercial businesses.  Robbers used guns in all of the crimes.  Law enforcement reminds late night shift workers to lock doors after hours and to call 9-1-1 if they see anyone suspicious.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The body of a woman was found Monday afternoon near the Bowl and Pitcher area in Riverside State Park.  Firefighters responded to the scene initially as a water rescue, and now Spokane Police are handling the investigation.  We're told the woman appears to be in her 30's.  This is a developing story and we'll update it as soon as we confirm additional details.
