Gold Star Families Recognized At Memorial Day Ceremony

Posted: Updated:

BOZEMAN - Mary Dugan was one of the 18 Gold Star families recognized at the ceremony in Bozeman.

Her 23-year-old son, once a member of the U.S. Air Force, fought in Afghanistan. On January 26th 2012, he left his airbase to head home, lost control of his vehicle and was killed.

She said she is grateful for all the support of the community on this Memorial Day because it's been a hard year and a half.

"It's really humbling showing that everyone cares because he met a lot," said Dugan.

Mary's son served six months in Afghanistan.
