GNP and YNP Road Updates

Posted: Updated:
GLACIER NATIONAL PARK -

On this Memorial Day weekend, there is still lots of snow up in the mountains.

Crews are working to open Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park for the summer. Avalanche technicians took photos of the crews working on the Rim Rock area located about a mile west of Logan Pass.  For updates on plowing of Going-to-the-Sun Road visit Glacier National Park's website.

Meantime, crews failed to open the Beartooth Pass on schedule. Park officials said snow and ice prevented crews from meeting the Friday deadline. Yellowstone Road information is available 24/7 at 307-344-2117.
