Missoula-Based Health Clinic Expands

Posted: Updated:

A Missoula-based health clinic that supports affordable health care is opening a new location in Helena.

Costcare founders said the clinic offers the same services as an urgent care center and private practice, but at a lower cost.

They provide care to anyone, including people with no insurance or high-deductibles.

Co-founder Carol Bridges, said she thinks the Costcare model is a huge part of solving the health care system puzzle.

"You know I think we're addressing need," said Bridges. "Health care has become expensive and complicated, and difficult to access and we've really overcome those barriers."

The clinic opened Monday.

If it's a success, the founders hope to spread to other parts of Western Montana.
