WEST YELLOWSTONE - The south entrance to Yellowstone National Park will open to visitors on Friday.
Starting at 8 a.m., tourists will be able to travel through the south entrance to Grant Village, West Thumb Junction and onto Fishing Bridge across Craig Pass to Old Faithful.
The road from Cooke City to the Chief Joseph scenic highway is also open. After the east entrance opened from Mammoth Hot Springs to Old Faithful last week, Park spokesman, Al Nash said Yellowstone is beginning to see an increase of visitors.
"There's a chance to see black bears or grizzly bears right now," said Nash. "The wild flowers will start here soon, so spring is a wonderful time to visit the park."
Nash said the park's busiest time of the year is July.
