BOZEMAN - The Bozeman Police Department continues to investigate what happened to the Bozeman man who reportedly drowned in Sourdough Creek.
The Bozeman Police Department said it was not unusual for 58-year-old Kevin Guptill to walk in the Sourdough Creek area. Officers have talked to him in that area before.
Captain of the Bozeman Detective Division, Steve Crawford, said they are waiting for toxicology results to come back though.
"It will determine whether or not there were substances on board such as drugs or alcohol which may have contributed to this event," said Crawford. "The information could provide useful information to us with this case."
Guptill's body was found on Tuesday around 6 p.m. by a 13-year-old boy.
