Missoula School Board Of Trustees Preliminary Results

Posted: Updated:

These results are based on 20,816 ballots returned by Tuesday afternoon.

This year's election has gotten a lot of attention after Superintendent Alex Apostle recently received a 13 percent raise, and outraged community members put themselves in the running to replace members of the current board of trustees. The community's outrage showed Tuesday.

Three spots are open for the three-year trustee position. Newcomers Michael Beers, Julie Tompkins, and Diane R. Lorenzen lead the race.

Beers has the most votes with just over 6,303.

Incumbents Scott Bixler and Joe Toth are falling behind in the race.

There are also two one-year terms open.

Ann Wake leads in one, while Rose Dickson leads in the other.

So far, all incumbents are out. Again, these are not the official numbers.

The official numbers will be in by Wednesday morning, once all ballots are counted. For all of the updates click here.
