Posted: Updated:

BOZEMAN - A fifth grader from Longfellow Elementary in Bozeman is chosen as the Montana winner for the Doodle 4 Google competition.

For the sixth year in a row, Google has asked kindergarten through 12th graders across the US to redesign the Google logo to show their 'Best Day Ever'. 130,000 drawings were submitted to Google.

Ruby Schroeder's Google design reveals one of her favorite things: hanging out with her friends and listening to music. She said she was shocked when Google called her to tell her the news.

"I was kind of like no way. This is such a big deal," said Schroeder. "I could win a scholarship to college, I could be what I want to be if I just win this contest."

Ruby will travel to New York on May 22nd for an awards ceremony at the Google office. If selected as the national winner, Ruby doodle will be displayed on the Google homepage on May 23rd.

She also has a chance to win a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000d technology scholarship for her school.
