Former Griz running back Dan Moore dreamed of one day playing in the NFL ever since he started playing football when he was a little kid. Now his dream is a reality after he got signed as a free agent by the Indianapolis Colts.
"The minute I got a call from my agent he told me you're going to be a Colt, I just started busting out crying. I mean it is a dream come true so I went in to the next room told my family I was a Colt and my Aunt popped the champagne and everyone was hugging and crying," said former Griz RB/FB Dan Moore.
Moore says the last few months of training, traveling and doing everything you can to impress teams has been a grind and that the support he's received from Griz Nation has been unbelievable.
"Hundreds and hundreds of comments and people that wrote me and told me they were praying for me and pulling for me and these are people that have never even met me. It was the best support I could have.
Moore says getting the call from the Colts was the happiest moment of his life, but now he has to get ready for camp.
"Just to get the call that an organization wants you is a dream come true but now I have to go into camp and do whatever I can to help that team win," said Moore.
Moore says the Colts want to see him get reps and running back, fullback and on special teams and if he can impress in any of those areas he has a great chance to make the roster.
