BOZEMAN - Next week starts the 2nd Annual Bozeman Area Commute Challenge.
The challenge begins on Monday and is a competition to encourage people to walk, bike, bus or carpool on their work commute.
The purpose of the challenge is to raise awareness of all the alternatives to driving such as the streamline bus system.
Western Transportation Institute Research Engineer, Rebecca Gleason, said it's a great way for people to save money and support healthy habits.
"We're trying to encourage people to try something new and hopefully it becomes something that people can do as part of their daily routine," said Gleason.
So far, 36 teams have signed up for the challenge. If you would like to sign up, click here.
Results of the challenge will be announced on May 17th bike to work week wrap up party at Lindley park.
