Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA - Two University of Montana Griz basketball players face misdemeanor charges after getting in bar fight over the weekend.

Will Cherry and Keron DeShields were arrested, along with a third man, 34-year-old Jason Snyder early Saturday. Missoula Police say they responded to a domestic disturbance near Stockman's bar, where they found the three fighting.

DeShields, a Sophomore at UM, plead not guilty to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct on Monday. He will be back in court next week.

Cherry, who is graduating at the end of the semester, filed for a continuance, and has yet to appear before a judge. He faces an additional charge of resisting arrest, after being tased by the police for not complying with them.

University of Montana Athletics Director, Kent Haslam said under the Athletics Code, DeShields faces suspension from the team next year. He said University officials will make that decision by next week.
