Amber Alert Canceled for Kalispell Boy

Posted: Updated:

KALISPELL - A Kalispell boy is safe after being the subject of an Amber Alert that occurred over the weekend.

Saturday evening, one-year-old Brayden Blasius, was forcibly taken from his custodial grandparents home on Yoeman Hall Road in Creston.

According to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry, the suspects are 28-year-old Beau Blasius and 23-year-old  Bryndi Gibson, Brayden's biological parents.

Curry said the parents were driving to Washington State in a stolen pick-up truck. Brayden's grandparents then called 911 and authorities immediately issued an Amber Alert.

"We're very pleased that we were able to get this resolved quickly. Anytime there's an abduction or any sort of issue with a young child it's important to get on it right away. We were successful in getting the people apprehended and getting the child back to their rightful people,"  Sheriff Chuck Curry said.

The parents are being held in Washington and will face charges of felony custodial interference and auto theft when they return to Flathead County. Brayden is currently in the care of Washington State Child Protective Services for the time being.
