Last year the Griz men's tennis team had it's best record in program history. After an up and down start to this year, they are starting to return to form.
"By late November early December I was worried about having six healthy guys, now we are healthy we are in the running. We have let a couple matches slip but I am happy with where we are at. I think we have a chance to contend if we get everyone playing well on the same day," said Griz Head Tennis Coach Kris Nord.
"I'm feeling pretty good about where we are at because we started off a little bit rocky but as the season has been progressing I think so has our play," said Griz senior Andrew Warren.
Senior Andrew Warren has been a big part of the Grizzlies recent success as he was just named the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week.
"Andrew deserved it he played great last weekend and he's played great all year, he really deserved it. I think he should have a few more of these but I'm glad he got this one," said Nord.
"I didn't know until I got to practice today so that was fun, but it's more of a team effort, so it's cool but it was more fun to get those wins with the team," said Warren.
The Griz travel to Eastern Washington and Montana State this weekend before wrapping up the regular season at home against Idaho State.
