    SPOKANE, Wash. - It's fair to say the movie wasn't a critical or box office success, but for the residents of Metaline Falls it was certainly a once in a lifetime experience to have Kevin Costner in town shooting his film "The Postman" in 1997. We found a few behind the scenes clips from the production, including a story on how the town was "transformed" for the big screen, and what the town (at the time) thought about having a Hollywood film shot in their hometown.

The Met is now called The Bing Crosby Theater. The show was a surprise to many Pearl Jam fans and caused quite a commotion downtown as people rushed to get in line for tickets for the show which was 24 hours later.
